Give A Hug

Celebrating International Family Day with RMHC

Every year on May 15, International Family Day honours families as the heart of society, celebrating their diversity and the unwavering support they provide across cultures and communities. At Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), this day holds even greater significance, as we are committed to ensuring every family has the resources they need to support their child’s recovery journey.

We believe that love, care, and family support are as essential to healing as medicine itself. This International Family Day, let us all stand united in this mission to keep families together empowering them to be their child’s greatest source of strength and comfort. ❤️

Join Us in Making a Difference

On this special day, we invite our partners—like you—who share our passion for keeping families together, especially those with a child who is receiving medical care while staying in our family rooms at healthcare facilities. “Give A Hug” by donating to RMHC, so families can stay together and embrace their child throughout their recovery journey.

Together, we can make every hug count. ❤️

Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Singapore is dedicated to supporting families with seriously ill children by providing a "home away from home" within hospital premises. Here are some quick facts about RMHC Singapore.

Ronald McDonald House (RMH) at National University Hospital (NUH): Located on Level Four of the Main Building just steps away from the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, RMH offers four ensuite bedrooms, a living room, dining area, kitchenette, and laundry facilities. This setup allows caregivers to stay close to their hospitalised children, providing comfort and support during challenging times. Since its inception in 2013, over 1,400 families have stayed with us.

Aside from the Ronald McDonald House, there are also three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at National University Hospital and Institute of Mental Health. These lounges provide a place of respite for parent-caregivers in between tending to their children who are ill or injured at the hospital, allowing them to nap, have a quick bite, or even take a shower.

All of these facilities are offered at no cost to the families we serve.

Through these, RMHC Singapore ensures that families remain close to their children during hospitalisation, reinforcing the belief that family presence is a vital component of the healing process.
